How you can find yourself in the darkness?

We are in the phase of the year where the sun is getting less powerful and we are approaching the Autumn Equinox … the dark is starting prevailing.
In these days we might feel overwhelmed and not able to let go the light of the summer, and struggling to start welcoming and embrace the dark.
But what does it mean really? How do practically welcome the dark and learn from it?
The dark brings to the surface our repressed emotions, our fears, the pains and trauma. It is painful, but this they way we can build our authentic self and reach the real happiness.
Sometimes it happens we build a life base on what we believe will bring us happiness. Most of the time this is not true, for multiple reasons. We may have built a life based on what the society, our family let us believe it was the right one for us.
Sometimes we reach a point in life where we have reached those objectives, but we are not happy. So why? Because maybe this is not what we really wanted… but we didn’t even realise it.
It is through the darkness we can understand what we really want, we can focus on the pains and understand what this pain is telling us.
When we are in pain there are always two possibilities… to just feel bad about it or react. If we react we push our boundaries, we deal with our fears, to get the best out of a painful situation, to start something new, based on the new things we have learned about ourselves.
How many times we have find a lot of excuses not to do things for ourselves, or to let go people or situations are not needed any longer. It is hard to accept sometimes, but if you listen yourself truly, the darkness is the place where you can find your true self, and true happiness.
This is death and reborn.
I want to challenge you with an exercise today.
Write down 2 lists:
1) What are the things in your life you are happy with
2) What are the things are making you feel bade and you would like to change
Before going to bed every day read the lists and make the necessary changes.
Do this exercise for the next week until the next full moon Sept 21st and Autumn Equinox Sept 22nd.
I hope you will help you to get more clarity about the next steps in your life and where you can find yourself in the darkness.
